The Insurance Institute of BC has held Events for Variety for the last two years with their Battle of the Bands event every winter. Each band includes at least one person in the insurance industry playing Blues and Rock and Roll in a friendly competition to raise money for Variety.
The event was created to be a fun industry networking event while raising money for a great charity -Variety. It is promoted to the insurance industry, but attendees are able to bring friends and family.
They chose Variety as they wanted to pick a local charity and were impressed with how many children are helped which in turn touches many others.
The event has raised close to $25,000 for Variety over the last two years. Thanks IIBC! Looking forward to next year!
