Our Commitment

Together, with our donors, Variety will step in where health care ends to provide direct help to children in B.C. with special needs.

The help we provide is the foundation of our organization. Each year we support children with special needs and organizations who provide services to children in every corner of our province.

Our Case for Support

Read our compelling case for why it's critical that we step in where health care ends with direct help here.

Life-saving medical care and services

We save lives with funding for medical equipment and medication as well as expenses associated with emergency out-of-town hospital visits.

Life-changing mobility, communication and therapies

We change lives by funding costly mobility equipment, hearing devices, van conversions, residential upgrades and specialized therapies.

Life-enriching education and experiences

We enrich lives with grants for specialized camps as well as provide bursaries for developmental and educational programs.

Our Sunshine Coach Program

Variety and community-based organizations team up with the support of donors to provide specialized vehicles that transport children in safety and comfort to places of education, therapy and recreation. Since 1966 we have put more than 500 Sunshine Coaches on the roads of B.C.! See the list of active coaches here.
