Variety provides funding to organizations that support child development and hospitals that provide medical care to any child in need of pediatric treatment or intervention. Variety has in the past spearheaded capital campaigns to build BC Children’s Hospital, Canuck Place, Down Syndrome Research Foundation and Resource Centre, BC Family Hearing Resource Centre and the Variety C.H.I.L.D. Gastroenterology and Liver Research Laboratory at BC Children’s Hospital.
Variety has also provided funding to nearly every Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the province.
