Boat for Hope 2021 is coming to Burnaby!

Boat for Hope is returning this September! We hope you join us to experience the reimaged Boat for Hope drive-thru event for a pirate adventure. It is similar to last year’s fun filled event but at a new location in Burnaby. Sea-fairing fundraisers will dress up in pirate costumes, decorate their boats and you will drive through on a treasure hunt, passing treasure stations along the way to collect your loot!

Due to ongoing COVID-19 and the restrictions put in place by the BC Health Authorities, it is not possible to host the traditional Boat for Hope event again in 2021. The committee has worked tirelessly and created an adapted event that provided a fun day for families while ensuring social distancing and safety precautions are in place.

This year’s event will take place in the parking lot of 4276 Norland Ave in Burnaby, with each corner of the lot decorated as a “Treasure Island”. Families were invited to drive through the event from the comfort of their vehicles while the children received loot bags and pre-packaged picnic lunches.

Through the generous support of local skippers, the business community, and amazing volunteers, we are very excited to once again be able to provide a memorable day to BC’s kids with special needs!

For immediate questions, please email boatforhope@variety.bc.ca and we can’t wait to see you on Sunday, September 12, 2021!
