The 4-year-old twin brothers, Markus and Markeif, both displayed speech delay and signs of ADHD at a young age. Their doctor suspected they may have autism and put them on the waiting list through the public healthcare system. However, the wait time is 2 to 3 years, and early intervention is crucial for autism. Variety funded Markus and Markeif with a private autism assessment, and with an autism diagnosis, it opened up doors to resources and support that they need to succeed in life, including speech & language therapy.
