A Variety Visionary is more than a supporter – they are a spark
that ignites change in their community and beyond.
Championing the Variety mission, Variety Visionaries advocate and activate their networks to help fund critical programs and essential supports that help children with disabilities and complex health needs live without limits.
As a Variety Visionary, you will:
- Help build Variety’s awareness advocating for our mission by sharing our impact with your networks.
- Help local families live without limits by fundraising a minimum of $15,000 over two years.
- Increase this group’s potential and connect Variety with future Visionaries.

Variety was built on grass-roots initiatives that rallied communities together to transform lives.
With the current cost of living, this has never been more important. So, we are recruiting community leaders to help us build a new era of impact.

What is a Variety Visionary?
A Variety Visionary is a philanthropic leader with a bold vision for creating a more inclusive and supportive world for children living with disabilities and complex health needs in BC. Visionaries are committed to bringing awareness to Variety and funding vital grants, therapies, and programs that directly change lives. Driven by compassion and community, Visionaries help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive—no matter their ability or circumstance.
What does a Variety Visionary do?
Visionaries believe in and advocate for Variety’s mission. They share stories, raise awareness and activate their networks to build momentum around a cause that transforms young lives. Visionaries also take part in exclusive, meaningful experiences that bring them closer to the families their passion and generosity supports. Most importantly, they help more children receive the essential supports they need.
What is my financial commitment as a Variety Visionary?
Visionaries commit to donating or raising a minimum of $15,000 over two years, which is enough to fund life-changing support for approximately five children (the average grant per child is $3,000). This commitment may be made individually or as a household and can be fulfilled through a single gift or spread across two years. All contributions are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
What kind of recognition do Variety Visionaries receive?
Visionaries are recognized on select Variety BC digital channels. Memberships also includes exclusive invitations to Variety events, network opportunities.
What types of events will I participate in?
Visionaries are invited to take part in a range of exclusive experiences throughout the year, including:
- Behind-the-scenes access to the Variety Show of Hearts production
- Intimate gatherings with philanthropists, experts, and Variety families
- Networking and social events that foster connections across a powerful community
These events are designed to inspire, educate and connect champions with the impact of their efforts
What is the annual time commitment?
There is no formal time commitment. Your level of involvement is entirely up to you. While some Variety Visionaries are highly active in their communities, others focus on financial giving or storytelling. We’ll provide the tools and support to help you engage in the ways that are most meaningful and manageable for you.
