About Variety Week

Variety Week - Facebook Banner

Variety BC & Global BC are pleased to announce that Variety Week is happening from October 18 – 22 … a chance for all of us to come together to help BC’s kids. During every newscast including Global News Morning and Global News Hour at 6, viewers will be introduced to kids who you have supported over the last year while getting to see firsthand how their lives have been transformed.

You’ll also learn about autism assessments and how for the first time in Variety’s 55-year history, we are now funding private assessments. Since launching this new program, we have been overwhelmed with applications from families and need your help so that we can say YES! to every child who is waiting.

Throughout the week, we’ll be partnering with organizations and family foundations across the province so that when you donate, you’ll make TWICE the impact.

Additionally we’ll be presenting a total of five Sunshine Family Vans … one in each of our health regions across the province. These new, fully accessible vans allow children with mobility challenges the freedom to go to their appointments & therapy sessions without having to be lifted in and out of a vehicle. Be sure to tune into Global Morning News all week to see which families will be receiving their very own Sunshine Family Van!

How to Donate

Variety BC is often the last resort for families who have exhausted all other funding opportunities. Without the generous support of BC’s listeners and viewers throughout the week of Variety Week, we simply cannot keep up with the demand.

The time is now for all of us to come together and to give what we can to ensure that our most vulnerable kids are not forgotten.
