Penny has been supporting Variety for decades. She deeply feels the hardship that young families face when they provide care to their kids with special needs. WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE PRESENT
We are the children of the present
We look beyond the day
When all the world knows who we are
To help us find our way.
Our challenges are many
Our talents galore
Please listen to our stories
We have so many more.
Sometimes we’re slow to walk and talk
Sometimes we’re slow to learn
But everything we conquer
We know it was well earned.
We love to hug and cuddle
We love to laugh and sing
Our voices very joyful
To what our future brings.
We are the children of the present
